On Wednesday, July 3rd, CMX Connect Madrid organized their third, and biggest yet, meet up at our Foodlab!
The meet up topic was ¨Building a thriving offline community¨, which really relates to Urban Campus core values. The conversation was led by Connect Host Cepee Tabibian ? Founder of She Hit Refresh and the Madrid Blogger Network.
CMX Connect chose our Food Lab, thanks to the multi-functional space which enabled their attendees to network smoothly and helped Connect host Valentina to introduce CMX Connect, while everybody enjoyed craft beers provided by Cervezas La Cibeles Cervezas La Cibeles and sweet treats by Baked by Jeanne.
We were really happy to help CMX Connect Madrid to organize their event with us and we are looking forward to collaborate in the future!

The measure of success for a coliving operator is when it can deliver a truly amazing housing experience to its residents.
El País came to visit our campuses in Madrid and interviewed some of our members to have a first hand testimonial about how Urban Campus has helped them to develop their personal or professional projects.
El País has also shown how Urban Campus is the pioneer in Madrid, being the first company to have two fully functioning coliving buildings and a community across town.

Raphael Cytron, nuestra Jefe de Gestión de Urban Campus Fr/Be, participó en una mesa redonda en Bruselas sobre «Mesa redonda – Cómo influye la evolución inmobiliaria en el atractivo de Bruselas», organizada por Logic-Immo.Be.
Esta mesa redonda propuso poner en perspectiva 3 elementos: los costes de los inmuebles/terrenos; el paso de la propiedad al alquiler; el fenómeno del coliving y el coworking. Fue una gran oportunidad para analizar cómo los nuevos usos están transformando la forma de convivir en las ciudades.
«Hay una evolución en la percepción de la vivienda. Los habitantes piensan ahora más en términos de entorno (modelo de campus) que de superficie. En Urban Campus, los miembros no sólo valoran la calidad del apartamento/estudio, sino lo que ofrece todo el edificio en términos de experiencia y vida comunitaria. Los espacios privados forman parte de un todo, al igual que los espacios compartidos y la animación de la vida comunitaria en los campus. Nótese que la dimensión comunitaria no es peyorativa. Al contrario, es positiva e integradora, es un factor de intercambio y ¡todo intercambio es beneficioso! La oferta residencial compartida que tenemos en Madrid muestra una población (22 > 40 años) que no persigue el modelo estudiantil, sino que ha propiciado un cambio de mentalidad: se flexibiliza el acceso a la vivienda y se ofrece la posibilidad de integrarse en una comunidad. Añadamos un último parámetro: más del 50% de los habitantes urbanos europeos viven solos (solteros o parejas sin hijos); este modelo también permite no estar «aislado».»
